Dr. Sarah Delgado is proud to serve as a clinical staff member at the Avery Centre where she is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. Dr. Delgado has extensive clinical experience working with individuals, couples, families and children. Her clinical interests include coming alongside those wrestling with issues related to marital & relational stress, anxiety, parenting, maternal mental health—ante & postpartum adjustment issues, infant loss, and sexual addiction. Her approach to therapy is systemic, integrative, strengths-based and strongly rooted in attachment, where she actively coaches her clients on becoming the best versions of themselves and in the relationships they are a part of. She also has experiences working with first-responders, faith communities, and organizations in the areas of crises intervention, and staff & conflict management.
Sarah holds a doctorate degree in marital & family therapy (DMFT) from Loma Linda University with a concentration in systems consultation & professional relations, and received both her masters and bachelor’s degrees from Azusa Pacific University, and a UC Davis Parent Child Interaction Therapist (PCIT) certification. She is bilingual, a published author, conference speaker, and served as a clinical supervisor and adjunct faculty member where she taught courses in Trauma & Community Mental Health, as well as Sex Therapy/Human Sexuality.
