Dr. Brian is a California-Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He is an alumnus of Radford University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, minoring in Economics. He earned both his Master of Arts and Doctorate of Psychology in Marriage & Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Southern California. His research explored the impact of surfing on quality of life. He serves in the training of aspiring therapists through adjunct faculty appointments at Hope International University and The Chicago School of Professional. His clinical experience includes working with individuals and families in the public-school system, all levels of care for substance abuse treatment, and mental health crisis stabilization. Dr. Brian is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Clinical Hypnosis, Mindfulness based treatment, Rational-Emotive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, & Gottman Method for Couples -Level 1. His work with clients is based in moving past the desire of “returning to how things were” towards an intentional, sustainable, and balanced “new normal”. He utilizes skills and techniques to aid clients to calm the body and mind, then working towards resolution with growth.
